INITIAL PREPARATION

A web design project starts as a well thought out idea, or vision. When beginning your web project you must have a concept, such as the form, function, and purpose of your web site. This will allow both you and the developer to create a focus for the site. A good way to form a concept is to visit other web sites that offer similar products and/or services as the site you are establishing. By doing so you will become familiar with "web standards", and therefore develop a better concept of how you would like your website to look and function.

Before the initial consultation, we ask that the client create a site map. A site map consists of a list of all pages that will be included in the web site, allowing us to determine the size of the project.

CONSULTING

Transition Technologies offers a FREE initial consultation. The Technical and Creative consulting process consists of the client communicating to an Account Manager the web site's purpose and target audience which serves as the beginning of the visualization process. What are the needs and expectations of the client? What challenges will be faced and how do we plan on attacking them? These are some of the questions answered early on in the process; this type of information is vital to the development of a successful project. With that information we will then establish the color scheme, custom layout style , and the site’s functionality.    

5 STEP DESIGN PROCESS

Within 48 hours of an initial free consultation, we will prepare a quote and a project timeline that will outline the design process necessary to complete your project according to the agreed upon specifications. Once you sign our agreement, service for you begins. With our quick and easy 5 step process, we will assure the most timely and accurate project completion:

            PHASE 1
            Layout out Design
                    - This is where the look and feel of the project is developed.
                      Our graphic artists, animators, and programmers bring life to
                      your vision. Prototype websites and/or graphic art are developed
                      and the client selects which designs to move forward with.

            PHASE 2
            Site Functionality Development
                    - Navigation Engineering
                    - Animation Engineering
                    - Link Development
                    - Dynamic Content Structure

            PHASE 3
            Construction Viewer
                    - An active link will be sent via email to the specified email address
                      for the viewing of the Web Site’s progression.

            PHASE 4
            Beta Testing
                    - Before the project is published, it will be thoroughly  BETA tested
                      to ensure that the project is fully operative and without flaw.

            PHASE 5
            Site Publishing
                    - Site is completed and ready for public

DELIVERY

There are 2 delivery types: Exclusive and Non-Exclusive. Both are discussed, in detail, during consultation and will be included in the project quote. 

Exclusive – Upon receipt of the final payment the client will receive all supporting files for their web site. Which includes all Photoshop files, Illustrator files, all supporting content files, as well as any graphics used and all rights to their web site design. Receiving these files will prevent the future duplication and reselling of the design to any other clients.

Non-Exclusive – a non-exclusive project will have their website transferred to their company / personal server after receipt of the final payment. Non-exclusive projects will not receive any supporting files used for the construction their web site, nor do they own the rights to their web site. This means that the design can be duplicated and resold if there are any interested parties.
